A partner who has read the requests from the funder's side.
Fourteen Feathers Nonprofit Partners gives small, community-led nonprofits the communications, fundraising, grants, events, and planning they cannot staff in-house. We are led by Cristal Finley, who spent years on the funding side deciding which organizations got support, and now brings that knowledge to the organizations doing the work.

From the funding side to your side
I'm Cristal Finley. I spent years evaluating funding requests and deciding which organizations got the support they asked for. I saw what made a strong case, and what quietly sank a good one. I hold an MBA, and I have served on nonprofit boards as a treasurer and as a past president of a regional professional association, so I know the pressure of doing big work with a small team.
I started this practice because the organizations that need the most help, the small and community-led ones, are the least able to afford it. That is the gap we close.
Why Fourteen Feathers
I am an enrolled member of the Yakama Nation. On the Yakama Nation flag, fourteen feathers and fourteen stars honor the fourteen tribes and bands that came together under the Treaty of 1855. The feathers stand for the leaders who signed it. The stars stand for the communities they represented. Fourteen distinct communities, choosing to stand together.
That is the spirit of this practice, and it is why our mark is a single eagle feather with fourteen stars, seven on each side. It is our own design, inspired by that heritage, and a reminder of who we serve: community-led organizations that are stronger together.
Experience you usually cannot afford at this size.
A funder's perspective
We know what funders look for, because we used to be the ones deciding. That eye shapes your grants, your fundraising, and your budgets.
One team, many skills
Communications, fundraising, grants, events, and planning under one roof, sized to your budget, instead of juggling separate specialists.
Rooted in community
We work mostly with Native, BIPOC, and community-led organizations, and we build for the long term, not the quick win.
Let us help your nonprofit grow.
