How we work Services Work About Contact Book a fit call
Grants and funder research

Go after the grants that fit, without the deadline scramble.

We find the funders worth your time, write strong proposals, and keep a calendar so nothing slips, drawing on years spent on the funding side of the table.

The problem

Chasing every grant, landing few.

Small teams apply to whatever they find, the night before it is due, with no read on whether they fit. Good work loses to a rushed proposal.

How it helps you grow

A pipeline that runs on a schedule.

Funders that actually fit

A fit-ranked shortlist, not a guess, so your effort goes where it can win.

Proposals that read right

Written by someone who used to evaluate funding requests and knows what wins.

A calendar you can trust

Deadlines mapped out so nothing sneaks up on your team.

Numbers that hold up

Budgets and narratives that survive a funder review.

Sample case study

Clearwater Bend builds a real pipeline.

An illustrative case study. The sample deliverables it describes are real and open from the cards below.

The organization

Clearwater Bend Watershed Council: volunteer monitoring at 9 sites, big restoration goals, and grants written the night before.

The problem

Three familiar funders a year, approached at the deadline, with proposals that asserted need instead of proving it. Better-fit funders were never researched, and reporting dates lived in one person's head.

What we build

A fit-ranked funder shortlist with award history and a considered-and-passed row, a six-month calendar with owners and status, and need statements built on the council's own monitoring data. All three are below as samples.

What changes

In a season like this one, applications go from 3 to a planned 8 to 10, two letters of inquiry go out a month early instead of the night before, and every proposal cites evidence the org already collects. Wins are never promised; readiness is built.

The real part: Proposals get shaped by our founder, who spent years evaluating funding requests on the funder side of the table.

Want to do it yourself?

A self-serve way to prepare.

Some teams want to prepare grant applications in-house, and some organizations are not ready to bring in a partner yet. For both, our sibling studio Funding Prep Studio offers the Grant Prep Packet: a self-serve toolkit for organizing the answers, numbers, and documents most grant applications ask for. It is preparation you do yourself, at your own pace.
